Gracie Mille to everyone who came to the 2020 Caloundra Film Festival. We say Gracie because next up is our 2020 Italian Film Festival. Plus we have just added the pure cinematic joy that is Pinocchio to the mix on Wednesday Dec 2 so its now 6 films for $55 for our Festival pass holders. Lucky souls.
Opening night, Tuesday the 17th of Nov is The Traitor (Il Traditore) which was the ‘centerpiece’ of the Festival which toured the capital cities. It’s epic in scope, scale and time, a feast for the eyes and the senses, and has a stellar cast.
Acclaimed Director, Marco Bellocchio is renowned for getting to the heart of families in his films and he’s hit the jackpot with the dark-hearted Corleone’s. Il Traditore spans 3 continents, 2 decades and well, do we need to make you an offer you can’t refuse? It’s won countless awards and was nominated for Best Film at Cannes.

On Wednesday the 18th we pack the knives away and present the no-brainer, laughter-filled Say It Loud (Cambio Tutto). It’s about a woman (the superb Valentina Ludovina) who drops some truth serum, (no, not Prosecco) and starts telling it like it is. Lookout!
