Street Love
Artist Kellie O’Dempsey’s Street Love celebrates community space as a place of consideration and wonder. Kellie invites audiences to share in a participatory exchange through perceptual experience incorporating projection, video, collage and digital drawing. Street Love includes artwork by Adam Anderson, CLUNKK (Sophie Reid-Singer) and Mick Dick. Together these artists explore the relationship between the physical environment, light, and colour utilising video to create new interpretations of familiar places.
Kellie has created a digital extension of Street Love for home-creatives to print and embellish an artist-designed mask. Choose the wondrous artwork by Adam Anderson or Sophie Reid-Singer (or both!) – grab some upcycled cardboard, download and print. Please share your creations on social media #place2wonder.
When the streets re-open to play in October, the masks can be worn to the vibrant street celebration, LUMINATE!, transforming Caloundra’s Felicity Park into a sound, vision and performance wonderland – complete with neon drawings and projections.
- 2 – 4 October (Projections in Felicity Park)
- 2 – 30 October (Window light boxes over Felicity Park)
