We packed out the Kings Beach Amphitheatre for Easter Saturday, and if you missed it, well, you absolutely missed a treat! A mini music festival with talented young artists Trey Cooper, Ella Fence and Sailing in Space performing whilst the crowd danced and enjoyed the tunes from their picnic rugs. The weather was a cracker, almost a crime to not be out and about!
Barely Worn thrift clothing markets lined the side of the Amphitheatre with stall holders selling out fast, and crowds snapping up bargain priced labels.
Two local face painters were a hit with the kids. Engaged to provide their art free of charge – the lines were worth the wait!
We called in a favour from the Easter Bunny himself who gave away copious amounts of free chocolate eggs to the crowd.
Local food truck Stars and Stripes were on hand along with a fundraising BBQ for Caloundra District Netball providing much needed snacks. Nearby local businesses were supported with dinners being purchased from pizzas, burgers and fish and chips.
Community spirit kicked in helping to locate a young child separated from his family, and a few band aids were welcomed by onsite Assist First Aid. Good news all round.
Topping the evening off, an Easter movie Peter Rabbit 2 enjoyed under the clear Easter sky. There were 5 happy winners of Strand Cinema double passes.
The event provided many smiles and only leaving one question……should we do it again?
Event feedback is welcomed and helps shape future Caloundra items. Please provide your valued feedback here
