The Beachtree Distilling Co. story is a tale based on love that began with a boy, standing in front of a girl, confessing his love for handcrafted spirits.
That boy was Steve; a Kamilaroi man and Beachtree’s master distiller. After many years working as a qualified tradesman, Steve decided to channel his electrotechnology and engineering experience into his true passion. The result: a distillation and filtration method unique to Beachtree Distilling Co.
Standing in front of Steve, that girl was Beachtree’s co-creator, Kirra. Raised on Bundjalung Country, some of Kirra’s earliest memories include stamping on grapes during her family’s wine production. While her mother and Nonna introduced her to delicious homemade wine and grappa, fresh herbs and homegrown produce, she also worked the land on her father’s macadamia farm. Kirra’s knowledge of hand-grown produce is evident in Beachtree’s fresh, crisp and clean taste – and the fact all products are proudly additive- and preservative-free.
So, in 2020 this love for small-batch distilling and Australian bush flavours led Steve and Kirra to join hands to create Beachtree Distilling Co. – where the love story continues…
