We all know that the Caloundra Music Festival is one of the largest events in our Sunny Coast calendars. However, this year, there are some extra special reasons to get excited. Excitement that can be felt all over town – as locals we have an opportunity to experience the likes of Arrested Development, Spiderbait and Vera Blue in our own backyard, and an opportunity to support emerging talent that we have ever-so-local with a huge number of gigs, all happening in our town.
Busby Marou, one of the festival’s headlining acts, have an incredible tie back to Caloundra. The talented duo entered a local ‘original selection’ competition in Caloundra earlier in their careers, fast forwarding to 2023 Thomas and Jeremy find themselves catapulted to wider recognition and stardom. Their success story speaks volumes about the amazing talent and opportunity that is nurtured in the local live music scene here on the Coast.
Caloundra’s Live & Local: Singer Songwriter competition winner is 13yo Henry Catania. Henry will grace us on stage on Friday on the Norton Music Factory VIP stage inside the festival with a supportive crowd that helped him take out the competition win. Read more about Henry’s story here.
