Downtown Caloundra is hosting a Festival of Lights this Christmas and we invite you to participate.


To nominate to participate in the Festival of Lights Parade Caloundra 2017 please complete the expression of interest form below. You will be contacted  via email as soon as you have been accepted.

Please read the information as well as Terms and Conditions very carefully before completing the Expressions of Interest Form below.

Expressions of interest forms are to be submitted via email to as soon as possible to secure your spot.


No group is to have a Father Christmas/Santa. Only one Father Christmas/Santa will appear in Parade and this will be organised by the event organisers.

Parade entrants will be positioned by the Event Organisers according to the size, type and musical activities identified in your participation form. The order of procession cannot be changed once it is finalised.

Arrival times will be staggered and will be emailed to you by Friday 27th October along with your specific group location for parade.

Private vehicles that are not participating in the parade must not be parked in the parade assembly area. All private vehicles should be left in a nearby carpark or road side parking.

Advertising of alcoholic drinks or prohibited substances on banners or signs by participants are strictly forbidden.

Participants accept full responsibility for their own safety when taking part in the Parade.


All children involved in the Parade MUST be supervised at all times.

Parents or guardians responsible for children participating in the parade must be at the finishing location (grassed area at Meeting Point on Omrah Ave) no later than 6.00pm.

Parade entrant coordinators are responsible for all children in their group until they are collected by a parent or guardian

No child is to be left unattended at finishing location.


The throwing or giving away of any object (including lollies) by parade participants is considered dangerous and is strictly prohibited. Children can be seriously injured while trying to retrieve lollies or give-aways. Anyone violating this rule will be removed from the Parade.

Any giveaways or flyers should be handed out after the parade has completed its route and not during parade.


The parade leaves the Meeting/Finishing point of Omrah Ave at 4.00pm, turns left onto Bowman Road, turns left into Bulcock Street, turns left into Knox Ave, turn left into Omrah Ave to finish at Meeting/Finishing point at approximately 6.00pm.
