It’s A Musical World | The Merryatric Players

The Merryatric Players return to The Events Centre this July with a brand-new production It’s A Musical World. The young-at-heart group of senior citizens who brought you Who Dun It, A Bit of a Stoush and Marie Claire are excited to bring another fun filled musical to the stage again.

It’s A Musical World delivers a light-hearted, sometimes surreal, often funny, and always tuneful trip through a Wizard-of Oz-inspired landscape, full of iconic characters and songs from classic musicals of the past. Join fellow lovers of musical theatre and sing and clap along (or not) to all your favourite tunes and re-live many marvellous musical moments from the golden years of musical theatre.

Join Wayne and Wanda Wychweigh on a journey like nothing they’ve ever experienced, or ever will again. How did they find their way there? They may never know. How do they find their way home again? You’ll just have to come see the show to find out. Suffice to say that they encounter a multitude of characters, situations and decision-making moments on their travels from here to there and back again.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the founding of The Merryatric Players and after a few years break (due to COVID) they are delighted to be performing again.
