For the previous 5 years the annual “Christmas in Caloundra” events has successfully run in Downtown Caloundra and has appealed to many people in the community. This business driven event is managed by the Caloundra Business Alliance (CBA) and supported by the Downtown Caloundra Taskforce.
It receives funding from community grants and fundraising throughout the year and free to attend for all members of the community.The program includes a large Welcome Santa to Town event which attracts thousands of guests. This year as part of the 5 year growth approach the Christmas program will integrate a “Christmas Bazaar” which is a semi permanent pop up open plan retail precinct offering all things Christmas. While the crowds are visiting Santa to receive their free photograph, we would like to offer them a special Christmas Bazaar to browse through. The CBA encourage home-based businesses or startups to express an interest in a micro pop-up and showcase their products in a retail precinct.
The Caloundra Business Alliance are seeking Expressions of Interest for artisan businesses who offer a Christmas themed product. Think meet the maker style pop ups, personalised Christmas Bubble artists, Christmas clothing, Christmas baking, Christmas jewellery, etc.
Venue: Indoor retail space
Dates: 1 December to 24 December (3 weeks of 7 day trading daily)
Time: 9.30am – 2pm daily
Cost: $350 per week for a 3x3m pop-up space and will include Christmas lighting/decoration, business signage, table, electricity, site manager and complete night lock down, ensuring your safekeeping for your stall and contents.
